SWAH bike ride supports Fermanagh charities

A FERMANAGH doctor has raised almost £2,500 for two local support charities after he took centre stage in a major sportive which saw his team trek cycle miles from Enniskillen to Wicklow.
The hugely popular and well-respected Dr Hadi Hassanzadeh and his team completed their three-day cycle event on Sunday, raising a huge £2,331 at the time of going to press, for local organisations.
Proceeds raised will be split between SWELL and Pulmonary Fibrosis Northern Ireland which provides help and support to many residents in Fermanagh.
“There are physical and psychological benefits [to cycling] and it’s a sport event and charity event. It’s good fun and it has turned into some people’s holiday that they look forward to,” Dr Hadi said.
Clare Donohoe from the Fermanagh branch of Pulmonary Fibrosis NI feels that the money raised from ‘Hadi’s Charity Bike Ride’ will greatly benefit local residents.
“A very special thank you to Hadi and team for choosing Pulmonary Fibrosis NI and SWELL as the nominated charities for this epic cycle. We are truly grateful,” she said.
The Print Factory, CB Fuels, Global Medics, Diret Medics, Tesco, Asda, M&S and Graham Family Butchers Ballinamallard all sponsored the event.
