Man and woman are accused of burgling shop

A man and woman accused of burgling a shop in Ederney have appeared in court.
Owen McDonagh (26) of Bercorn Road, Derry and Carly McMullan (23) of Bluebellhill Gardens, Derry appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday charged with offences relating to burglary on February 7th 2019. McDonagh is accused of burglary of Gallogley’s Mini Mart, having entered as a trespasser to the shop and stealing cash, a passport, credit union and bank documents.
McMullan is also accused of entering the same property and stealing a cash box containing £500 approx, a British passport, credit union book, and various business receipts and bank correspondence therein.
CCTV was obtained of the incident and McMullan presented herself, was arrested, and co-operated fully with police and claimed she had no knowledge of what happened.
The court heard McMullan had been given bail but breached it when she was found in Derry on Friday at 3am in the company of McDonagh.
District Judge Michael Ranaghan granted McMullan bail, stating this was a further chance to try and apply with bail, but enforced strict conditions including a curfew and an electronic tag.
The court heard that McDonagh had breached a probation order as he had previously failed to attend appointments, and probation was seeking to provoke the order, but the judge said he would not revoke the order at this time, and adjourned the case until April 15th, and McDonagh was remanded in custody.
