Police in Enniskillen have seized drugs and cash in searches in the town yesterday, Wednesday, April 18th.
Two people were arrested following a raid on the house in the Foxhill Close area yesterday morning, and a quantity of drugs were seized.
Sergeant Michael Drew said: “As a result of a proactive search at the house on Wednesday morning, we recovered herbal cannabis with a street value believed to be in excess of £5000, several thousand pounds in cash and other assorted paraphernalia associated with the supply of illegal drugs. A man aged 30 and a woman aged 26 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and possessing criminal property. Both were interviewed and later released on police bail whilst our enquiries into the matter continue.”
Meanwhile, one person was arrested, and a sum of cash and suspect Class A and Class B drugs (pictured) were seized following the search of a property in the Cornagrade area yesterday evening.
Sgt Drew said the searches showed the local PSNI’s “commitment to address the issue of illegal drug use and supply in the Enniskillen area.”
“I would encourage anyone with any information which could assist us to contact police in Enniskillen on 101,” he added. “Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
