White smoke from Brewster Park on McGrath

Pete McGrath will continue as Erne boss.

Fermanagh County Board confirmed Pete McGrath’s plans for 2018 in a brief statement last night.
The statement confirms that the Rostrevor man will take the county’s reins for a fifth year in 2018.
“Following tonight’s County Management Committee, Fermanagh GAA wish to announce that Peter McGrath is appointed to continue as County Senior Football Team Manager for the 2018 season,” said the statment.
“We thank Peter and his backroom team for all their hard work in 2017. We wish Peter every success in the season ahead.”
The confirmation that McGrath will be manager for the season will be broadly welcomed, the double All-Ireland winning having already successfully navigated Fermanagh from division 3 in 2015 and later brought the county to an All-Ireland quarter-final.
