Bookies have made Sinn Fein’s Michelle Gildernew the favourite as she seeks to unseat sitting Unionist MP Tom Elliott after only two years in the job.

Ms Gildernew earlier admitted she was feeling “a bit nervous” as she cast her vote.

Also in the running are the SDLP’s Mary Garrity, Alliance’s Noreen Campbell and the Green Party’s Tanya Jones.

Stayed tuned for updates throughout the night.
