He appeared in the court via video link from Maghaberry Prison where he is currently in custody on unrelated charges.

The court heard that at 8pm on April 13th, police stopped a vehicle being driven by the defendant in Ballinamallard as he was on his way home. Officers noted his nervous disposition which aroused suspicion.

They conducted a search during which they uncovered a bag of herbal cannabis and cannabis resin, valued at a total of £20. The court was told that Taylor had made full admissions during police interviews and entered a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity.

Taylor was fined £250 for the offence and released from custody penning further charges for which he was ordered to sign on once a week at Coleraine Police Station and to reside at an address in Ballymoney.
