Ballinamallard manager, Whitey Anderson – October manager of the month
Whitey Anderson has been awarded Manager of the Month for August.
The Northern Ireland Football Writers Association gave Anderson the nod after the Mallards excellent run through October.
The Ferney Park side now sit in eighth in the Danske Premier League after back to back 3-0 wins against Portadown and Warrenpoint.
October brought Ballinamallard’s first ever win at the Oval when they beat Glentoran 2-0. After that it was a 1-1 draw with champions Crusaders and a 3-0 victory, their first at Shamrock Park.
In between they managed a 1-0 victory over Linfield at Windsor Park in the League Cup.
Anderson believes the award is a great boost for everyone at the Ferney Park club, players, coaches and supporters.
“When you think we started the month on five points, now we are sitting on 15 after great results against several of the top teams in our league,” said Anderson.
Today they visit Mournview Park to take on Glenavon and will be looking to extend their good run into November.
