Substitute Diarmuid O’Carroll saved Crusaders blushes this afternoon when he levelled with just three minutes left on the clock at Ferney Park this afternooon.

O’Carroll latched onto a bouncing ball on the far post to shoot home to earn the champions a share of the spoils.

Steve Feeney, who had replaced the injured Cathal Beacom after just 19 minutes put the home side in front six minutes into the second half when he headed home an inch perfect cross from Johnny Lafferty, with keeper O’Neill stranded 16 yards out.

The result pushed the champions back into second place behind Linfield.
