IT WAS A NIGHT to remember for Irvinestown student Ciara McCusker at the final of the Miss Northern Ireland competition.
The 19-year-old was one of 28 finalists at the gala event in the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Monday night, having previously taken home the Miss Jazzeys title at the local Enniskillen heat.
Although she didn’t take home the overall prize the former Mount Lourdes student thoroughly enjoyed her time in the competition. Speaking yesterday to the Herald Ciara said she had no regrets.
“I throughly enjoyed myself last night. It was a fantastic night. I was a wee bit nervous but I was more excited about the night. All the girls were fantastic so I wasn’t disappointed at all, all the girls deserved it. Overall the experience was brilliant, I have gained a lot more confidence out of it. I would definitely recommend it.”
The Miss Northern Ireland title 2015 went to Leanne McDowell from Newtownabbey. The last local winner was Judith Wilson in 2008.
