PERHAPS the most colourful aspect of the Fermanagh Live festival is the now annual Dragon Parade.

A spokesman explained: “On the day of the Dragon Parade, with free music, arts and family fun, we would ask parents and children to come to the Diamond at 1pm, on Saturday September 27, for a pre-parade performance treat as students from Portora explore the Magic of Irish Myth and Legend by bringing stories to life using oversized picture frames decorated by primary pupil. Then the dragon and the circus stars set off for the Castle.

“Children, do come in fancy dress and you too can join the parade from the Diamond to the Castle. If you are very small your mum or dad can come too! There will be ‘spot prizes’ during the afternoon for those in fancy dress.”
