Fermanagh and South Tyrone MP Michelle Gildernew addressed the crowd saying that the hunger strikers were “their role models”.

However, the parade attracted criticism from Kenny Donaldson, representative of South East Fermanagh Foundation victims’ group, who said the event ‘glorified terrorism’ and ‘re-traumatised families’.

See Wednesday’s Fermanagh Herald (August 6) for full coverage of the event.
