Helen Hicks, the newly appointed housing services manager for the South West
BELLEEK-BORN, Helen Hicks has been appointed Housing Services Manager for the Housing Executive’s South West Area.
She will be responsible for assisting the Area Manager in the operation of the local offices in Fermanagh, as well as in Cookstown, Dungannon and Omagh.
Helen has been with the Housing Executive since 1992.
Oonagh McAvinney, the Maguiresbridge-born acting South West Area Manager spoke of Helen’s extensive experience in the Housing Executive.
“I am delighted with Helen’s appointment. Our tenants and wider customers can rest assured the high standard of service they have come to expect from the South West area’s offices will continue.”
Helen began her career with the Housing Executive as a graduate trainee and, over the years, has held a variety of positions including Senior Housing Officer, and Assistant District Manager. She was seconded to the Housing Rights Service for 9 months to help write an advice handbook.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to broaden my experience through the role of Housing Services Manager.
“I want to ensure the continued delivery of a comprehensive housing service by the four offices in the South West to all our residents.”
She said her aim was to build on the already well-established good working relationships the offices have with our tenants, network of local community groups and elected representatives.
