THIS year’s annual Hospice Walk, in aid of Horizon West Children’s Hospice, takes place at Castle Coole in Enniskillen on Saturday, April 14.
The walk is the biggest annual fundraising event held by the charity and is held all over Northern Ireland.
Fermanagh District Council is supporting this year’s Hospice Walk in Castle Coole and chairman of Fermanagh District Council, councillor Alex Baird, will officially start the Hospice Walk on Saturday April 12 at 10am.
“Fermanagh District Council is pleased to support this year’s Hospice Walk on 12 April at Castle Coole which will help raise funds for Horizon West Children’s Hospice so that it can continue to provide care for children and their families,” said Councillor Alex Baird.
“I urge the local community to give their full support to this worthy cause and join us for the Hospice Walk on 12 April,” the chairman added.
Gemma McCallan, community fundraiser for Horizon West Children’s Hospice comments: “We are thrilled to have the support from Fermanagh District Council and hope that local people will come out and support us on Saturday April 12.
“This is an annual event which always proves to be a great day out for all the family. All money raised at the walk will go towards helping local children from Fermanagh with life-limiting illnesses.”
