Tempo group in ‘Scor Encore’

Tempo group for TG4 Talent Show Scor Encore

A TEMPO Instrumental group are through to the semi-finals of TG4’s Talent Show ‘Scor Encore’.

Every year thousands of acts including ballad groups, instrumental groups, solo singers and set and ceili dancers compete in GAA’s Scor Na nOg.

The top competitors then take part in ‘Scor Encore’ in the hope of winning a chance to perform in Croke Park on All Ireland final day this year.

The five competitors from Tempo will travel for the second time to RTE Studios in Donnybrook this week for the televised semi-final.

The instrumental group includes Elizabeth Fee (piano), Blathin and Tiarnan Bogue (accordion and banjo) and Eimear and Aoife Cathcart (banjo and concertina).

This week they will compete against eight other acts.

The group won Fermanagh Scor Na nOg in November and then took part in an audition for ‘Scor Encore’. Well-known judges including Stiofan O Fearail, Siobheal Nic Eochaidh and Gearoid O Dubhain selected Tempo along with the other acts from across Ireland to compete in the semi-final.

The programme gets underway every Sunday at 8pm and is guaranteed to be a tough competition.

‘Scor Encore’ celebrates the talent and traditions in Ireland and Tempo will represent Fermanagh in this national competition.
