HAILED as the one of the most promising up-and-coming designers in the country, Enniskillen designer Lisa McCabe is set to showcase her fashion pieces at this season’s Belfast Fashion Week.
The face and brains behind Irish label Nor Lisa, the young Enniskillen woman is well on her way to a flourishing career as she makes her next appearance at the Belfast show which attracts some of the biggest names from, across the North.
Now on a par with other top designers and boutiques including Grainne Maher, Larissa Watson and Rachel McKnight, Lisa will be revealing her unique designs on the catwalk as part of the popular designer catwalk show next Wednesday.
Speaking about her upcoming collection Lisa explained some of her piece which are being featured during the Belfast fashion week.
She said: “I can’t wait to show off my spring/summer 2014 collection which heavily features monochrome, big prints and striking cobalt blue which is huge this season.
“I’m thrilled to be back and be part of this milestone event.”
Speaking at the recent launch, director of Belfast Fashion Week, Cathy Martin, addressed the guests on site at renowned interior designer Kris Turnbull’s chic studio and outlined what guests can expect from the landmark event which will take place from March 19 until 23 across various venues in Belfast.
Cathy said: “I’m really pleased to see Lisa returning to the catwalk to take part in our tenth year celebrations. Her vintage-inspired designs and stunning prints are making her a talent worth watching and giving her the name of one of Northern Ireland’s most promising up-and-coming designers.
“I feel very proud to be standing here today as I announce the schedule for the seventeenth season of Fashion Week and the beginning of its tenth year.
“When I created Fashion Week at my kitchen table in 2004-2005, I could only have dreamed that it would become the much celebrated and anticipated event that it is today, and it’s been a pleasure to watch it – and all those who have been involved, including designers, models and many other creatives – evolve and flourish over the years.”
