
All charges have been dropped against Alvin Rouse
Ballinamallard United goalkeeper Alvin Rouse has had all charges put against him, including rape and sexual assault withdrawn today at Dungannon Magistrates Court.
Every charge originally put against Rouse has now been withdrawn
The charges against Rouse included three charges of rape, two sexual assault offences, one charge of false imprisonment and one of causing a person to engage in a sexual act.
Rouse, of Old Armagh Road had all charges dropped when he appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).
Whitey Anderson, manager of Ballinamallard United said, “I am first of all delighted for Alvin who has over the last 9 months endured a very difficult time.
“He has from the first day claimed his innocence and has been clear and conscise regarding the night in question. He never wavered from his story and has not displayed the demeanour of a guilty man.
“Very serious charges were pressed and severe bail conditions applied by the court.
“Ballinamallard United Football club are delighted for Alvin and it is great news for everyone including the players and supporters just three days before the new season starts.”
