THE Moat Primary school are getting ready to lace up their trainers to raise important funds for their school.
The fun-filled event invites participants of all ages to hit the pavement and challenge themselves while supporting a great cause.
Whether you’re sprinting to the finish line or enjoying a leisurely walk with friends and family, every step taken will help provide vital resources for the school.
The 5K run/walk will take place on April 11 at 7pm with registration at the Moat Primary at 6pm. The run will be non chipped and a shorter route is available for kids.
“Money raised will go towards a large promethean board for the hall, a sound system for the hall and use at sports day and ongoing student expenses such as educational and extra curricular school trips and resources,” a spokesperson from the schools PTFA said.
Many local businesses have showed their support and sponsored the event.
“We are thankful for all the sponsors, Delta house and home, Teemore Engineering, JLE services, Lidl and Lisnaskea Credit Union who have sponsored refreshments and water,” they added.
Adults are £10, under 16s £5 (must be accompanied by an adult) family rate £25.
