Landmark Derrylin pub up for sale

ONE of Fermanagh’s oldest and established pubs is for sale.
Blake’s Bar in Main Street, Derrylin, which was established at the turn of the last century, is just recently been put on the market.
The public house has been leased for a number of years, but now, owner Pat Blake, pictured below, has put it on the market.
He explained, “It’s fair to say that there is nobody in the next generation is interested, at present, in becoming involved in the licensed trade.
“That’s the main reason. So now we looking at the option of leasing or selling,” said Mr Blake. At present the bar is on lease, but it is due to run out shortly.”
The business is developing other interesting areas including the wine and whiskey business which is continuing to expand and the family has other interests in the licensed trade including Blakes of the Hollow in Enniskillen.
The bar is the only full-time pub with a catering facility attached trading in  Derrylin and is situated on one of the busiest roads in the county, the main route from south Donegal to Dublin.
The property, which has been over 100 years on the same site, houses a public bar, spacious lounge, function room and restaurant/kitchen. It enjoys local and passing trade regularly catering for local parties
The selling agent Pat Clarke Sales in its portfolio says, “ This sale represents a very special and rare opportunity for the next owner to continue and grow the business into the future coming to the market for the first time in over 100 years trading on the site.”
