THE final touches are being added to what promises to be an unmissable evening of celebrations for St Ronan’s Primary School’s 50th anniversary. This evening (Thursday 27) former pupils of the Lisnaskea school are invited along to join in the special celebrations.
Earlier this week Eamonn Shannon, teacher at St Ronan’s, said preparations were in full swing.
“The children had a party day last Friday to celebrate the milestone event. There were lots of fun activities happening throughout the day, including a disco for the primary school children.
“On top of this we have been busy getting memory trees set up and classroom displays ready for the anniversary event.”
On Thursday evening events will begin with Mass in Holy Cross Church at 6.30pm, afterwards there will be an opportunity to go back over to the school to take a trip down memory lane. Displays of old photos will form part of the evening, allowing former pupils to look back and reminisce on their time at St Ronan’s.
Ticket cost per person is £5 or a group ticket can be purchased for £15 (max 4 people).
