LISNASKEA’S St Kevin’s College has been named the ‘Best Kept Post-Primary School’ for the western region after impressing judges.
This is the first time St Kevin’s have claimed the title. The school was praised for its commitment to the creation of environmentally conscious school community.
In addition to outdoor eco-activities, to promote student awareness and wellbeing, St Kevin’s also involved local groups in the creation of outdoor space where all students can learn and work together.
Doreen Muskett, president of the Northern Ireland Amenity Council (NIAC) host of the awards, said the standard of applications continues to rise each year, adding, “Our judges had a tough time choosing the winner!
“St Kevin’s College impressed the judges with their demonstration of school community values and their role in sustainable education.
