St Ronan’s Primary School, Lisnaskea is counting down the days until their big 50th anniversary celebrations.
The primary school, located on the Brookeborough Road, will celebrate 50 years in existence this year.
To mark the occasion Bishop Duffy will celebrate a special Mass which will be held in Holy Cross Church at 6.30pm on Thursday 27 June.
After the Mass there will be an evening of nostalgia and celebration in the school itself. Refreshments will be served in the school following the Mass and this will include an opportunity to look around and meet and chat with fellow past pupils.
In advance of the anniversary celebrations past pupils are asked to submit any old photographs or other relevant information to the school office or to e-mail it to st.ronans.50th.2019@gmail.com. These photos will be for display purposes and will be returned safely.
The school is also hoping to create a book of memories. This would form a unique look back over the past 50 years of the school and bring to life memories from bygone school days.
The school are also encouraging any past pupils who have a story they would like to share to get writing and send it in as well. Everyone at the school is looking forward to hearing stories and seeing photos in the near future.
