TWO landmark North Dublin pubs, formerly owned by Teemore businessman Sean Quinn, are set to be put up for sale by liquidators of the Irish Bank Resolution Cooperation (IBRC), previously known as Anglo Irish Bank.
Quinns pub in Drumcondra, close to Croke Park, is well-known as a popular meeting place for those travelling to football matches, concerts or events in the area.
The pub would commonly be packed with football and hurling fans on match days.
The Cat & Cage, also in Drumcondra, is also set to go on the market with liquidators hoping to retrieve approximately €2million from both sales.
CBRE estate agents outline Quinns of Drumcondra as a long established, three storey over basement, licensed premises which includes extensive lounge and bar facilities.
CBRE also note that it occupies a pivotal trading location in the shadow of Croke Park.
The Cat & Cage, a two storey licensed premises/gastro-pub is located on Drumcondra Road, a busy main thoroughfare which links to the city centre. The pub and lounge bar were extensively refurbished in 2016.
The pubs are among a portfolio of hospitality properties which were owned by the former local billionaire.
