HEALTH has clearly been at the forefront of voters’ minds in Erne East, with Roslea surgery campaigner John McCluskey and the UUP’s Victor Warrington, who has also been outspoken on health issues, voted in. The DUP’s veteran councillor Paul Robinson topped the poll.
The turnout in Erne East was 71.62 percent, with a total of 8,568 of 11,963 voters casting a ballot. A total of 112 papers were rejected, and the quota was 1,209. Paul Robinson recieved 1,382 votes, Victor Warrington 1,352 and John McCluskey received 1,286.
The remaining votes are now being transferred among the remaining candidates. It is expected two candidates will be eliminated shortly.
