THE HUSBAND of Lu Na McKinney (35), who is accused of murdering her on Lough Erne in April of this year, has been remanded in custody until the new year.
Stephen McKinney (41) of The Flax Fields, Convoy, Co Donegal appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday via videolink from Maghaberry Prison. He is charged with murdering Mrs McKinney on a date unknown between April 11 and April 14 this year. He is also charged with possessing Class C drug Zopiclone, a form of sleeping medication.
During his brief hearing, the court was told the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) were awaiting a full file in the case, which was due on January 17. The case was adjourned for four weeks, until January 8, for an update.
McKinney’s defence team did not apply for bail on his behalf on Monday.
Meanwhile, police have released a photograph of Mrs McKinney and renewed their appeal for information in the case.

Detective Inspector David McGrory said: “Police are issuing a photograph of Mrs McKinney today in the hope that people will come forward with any information they have about her.
“I would like to hear from anyone who knew her or anyone who had contact with Mrs McKinney, who lived in Convoy, County Donegal, in the months preceding her death.”
Det Insp McGrory said detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Brance were working closely with An Garda Siochana in the investigation into Mrs McKinney’s death.
He asked anyone with information to contact the PSNI on 101, extension 43373, the confidential Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111, the Gardai in Letterkenny on 00353 749167100, or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
