A woman has died after falling from a jetty in Enniskillen during the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.40am this morning, police and other emergency services responded to reports that a man and woman (49) had fallen overboard from a boat moored at the Round O jetty.
A full search operation was implemented and the man and the woman were both taken from the water and transferred to hospital. The woman died a short time later in hospital.
Inspector Keith Hicks said: “Local police would like to extend their sympathies to the family of the woman and thank all of the agencies involved in the operation. An investigation into the circumstances is underway and a post-mortem is expected to be carried out.”
