INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into an overnight robbery at a business premises in Belleek.

A PSNI spokesman told the Herald: “Police received a report earlier today (Tuesday) that sometime overnight a commercial premises on Main Street in the Belleek area was burgled. Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and no further details are available at this time.”
Local Sinn Fein MLA Jemma Dolan said she was “angered” to hear of the incident.
She said yesterday: “This has wider implications on the ill and elderly of the local community. As a result of this incident, the pharmacy has been closed this morning – meaning people in the community are being deprived of much needed medicine and treatments.”
SDLP Cllr John Coyle also condemned the overnight burglary: “This is not the type of activity that we want to see happening in Belleek. This is the only pharmacy in the area and it’s a great asset to the village. Its closure this morning greatly inconvenienced a lot of people.”
