THE Class of ’67 is celebrating the 50th anniversary of taking their A-Levels. The Mount Lourdes class of 20 ladies will meet again this summer, to reminisce and catch up on the past 50 years.
A reunion meal is being planned for the end of June to mark the 50th anniversary of leaving the Enniskillen school in 1967. The classmates say they would love to see some of their old teachers at the reunion, including Sisters Consilii, Rita, Rosemarie and Miss Bridie Tannian.
Pictured in the photograph is the class on the last day of school on June 4th 1967, minus two students who were absent on the day.
The majority of the ladies are apparently still in the Fermanagh area, with some of them having moved further afield. Rosemary McQuaid sadly passed away in 2001.
The organisers are hoping to collect school photos and other memorabilia from the golden days, while looking forward to hearing about the memories, anecdotes and stories of their years.
Anyone interested in attending the event is asked to contact Mary on 90849660/67748700 or Noreen on 6634 1283 / 077 47 683457.
