AN Enniskillen girl has been touched by the kind hearted actions of a complete stranger from Limerick.
Fourteen-year-old Courtney Breen lost her beloved iPhone 6 when she fell climbing Cuilcagh Mountain, on November 19th, 2016, and thought it was gone forever.
Little did Courtney know that a kind lady had found the iPhone, took it home to Limerick, put the phone in rice for 48 hours to save it and charged the phone. The anonymous lady then turned on the phone and was able to identify the owner and the school, St Fanchea’s College, by the screensaver.
Incredibly, the lady then returned the phone 12 weeks later by driving the whole way from Limerick to Fermanagh but did not leave her name or any information.
Courtney Breen was delighted to get her phone back, but still cannot believe the kindness of the stranger.
“About two weeks ago, I was sitting in class and the principal called me and gave me back the phone. I do not know who the woman was that returned the phone. If I could find her, I do not actually know what I would say to her, I am speechless about it. It was so incredibly kind of her to do this and I am so grateful to her. Driving that distance to give me back my phone is unbelievable,” concluded Courtney.
