A 52-year-old barman has been fined £200 for breaching licensing laws.
Brian Ingram of Station Park in Maguiresbridge, was charged with permitting the consumption of intoxicating liquor after-hours at the Coach Inn, Maguiresbridge, on July 3rd last year.
Withdrawn
A similar charge against Patrick Joseph Jones, the licensee of the Coach Inn was withdrawn.
Premises Check
The court heard that, at 1.15am, police officers performed a licensed premises check and inside the premises found 40 to 50 still present and consuming alcohol.
When they spoke to Ingram, he told police that he had had problems in getting people to leave the premises. No till receipt was available to indicate to police what time the last drink had been served.
Further police enquiries uncovered that the premises no licence extension to serve alcohol on the date in question.
The court heard that the licensee Mr Jones was interviewed by police on July 18th who said he had not been in the premises on that date.
Fine
District Judge Peter King imposed the £200 fine on Ingram.
