The 2016 One Man and His Dog competition will be held at Florence Court tomorrow.

THE team behind BBC’s Countryfile will be back in the county again tomorrow, just one month on from their last visit Fermanagh.

This time the programme will be showcasing one of our beautiful National Trust properties, as well as some local talent hopefully, as filming for the 2016 One Man and His Dog competition gets under way at Florence Court.

All are welcome to call to Florence Court to watch the competitors compete for this year’s prestigious title. Make sure to mention you are there as a spectator as admission to the competition viewing area is free. The competition will last all day, with the junior handlers competing in the morning and the senior handlers in the afternoon.

This is the second time in a month the Countryfile crew have been in Fermanagh in just over a month, having visited at the end of July to learn about how the RSPB manage more than 40 islands on Lough Erne and help protect birdlife in the area. Among the places they visited were Rosscor, Boa Island and Hare Island for the summer-special of the programme, which was broadcast on July 31.
