THE Ardess Rural Community Group, a community group based outside Kesh, is one of 11 bodies that have received funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
The Ardess group intend using the £9,960 it was awarded to make improvements to their local hall where it runs a number of community activities.
Belleek Community Carers Group are using their £7,655 to offer a range of activities and classes.
The organisation supports carers in Belleek and the surrounding area.
Killadeas Orange Lodge provides community facilities, activities and events for the local community. They are using their £9,999 to upgrade equipment in the hall to better facilitate meetings, activities and events.
Maguiresbridge Pitch Development and Management Committee provides social, educational and recreational activities for members and the wider community. They are using the £7,544 to deliver a ‘fun day’ for the community.
Newtownbutler Orange Lodge will use the £10,000 to make improvements to their hall to facilitate community meetings and activities, and the Enniskillen branch of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Regimental Association has been allocated a similar amount.
It provides a range of support services for former members and families in Enniskillen who come from both sides of the community. They are using their £7,110 award to provide outings for members to South Armagh and Belfast City Hall, and for a commemorative event and quarterly luncheon club.
Sallaghy Parish Church, near Lisnaskea, are using the £10,000 to improve the facilities in its hall so that local community.
And, Tempo Community Playgroup is using their £9,181 to provide equipment for children with special needs to stimulate sensory and motor skills, language and physical development.
The Ely Centre in Enniskillen supports people affected by the 1987 Enniskillen Remembrance Day bombing. They are using their £8,814 allocation for a range of educational and health activities and classes to improve people’s health and well being.
Trory Orange Lodge provides community facilities. They are using their £8,666 to make improvements to their hall so it can be used for a greater range of activities and events.
The Lisnaskea branch of the UDR Regimental Association supports former members of the UDR and their families locally. They are using their £9,853 award for a respite trip for members to Edinburgh and the surrounding area, and to Belfast. Part of the grant will go to buy new bowling equipment.
