Edel Monaghan took another stride in athletics career with an impressive bronze at the GloHealth National Juvenile Championships in Tullamore last Saturday.
Still just 16, the Irvinestown runner contested in the under 18 grade at 3,000m.
Competing in the colours of Omagh Harriers, she came home in a time of 10:44.93 well ahead of her nearest opponent in fourth to claim her third All-Ireland medal.
On Sunday she returned to the track to complete in the under 18 1,500m and came 5th nationally with a time of 5:04.55.
