Inclement weather has seen Fermanagh’s meeting with Donegal scheduled for tonight postponed. Ballybofey’s MacCumhaill Park, was still under a blanket of snow when Ulster GAA officials inspected the pitch earlier this morning and decided to reschedule. The game will now take place on Sunday in Ballyshannon at 2pm. The Fermanagh Donegal game was just one of a number to fall foul of the weather with Healy Park and Owenbeg also ruled unplayable.
Pete McGrath’s side have enjoyed a good start to the season with victories over Queen’s and Derry. The Erne men are now in pole position for a semi-final place with a draw against Donegal good enough to see them into the last four.
However if Rory Gallagher’s Donegal manage beat Fermanagh by five points or more they will leap-frog the Ernesiders, but they need Derry to lose to progress. Derry can progress if they beat Queen’s and Fermanagh lose, while the students are out of contention.
