PREPARATIONS are well underway for Country For Sam which takes place in the next number of weeks.
The event, to raise money for the Sam Bradley Care Fund, takes place on October 28 in the Enniskillen Hotel and features an array of local country talent.
Sam, a son of Colm and Michelle Bradley, was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma in January of this year.
And, the event features 12 acts, and will be compered by Big Bernie Kane, from Ocean FM.
Dancing is from 9pm until 1.30am.
The night has been organised by John Garrity and Sean Hoy.
John said that the organisation has been going on for the last three months.
“I’d seen that there was a successful rock night held as well as other fund-raising events – and Sean Hoy came to me. I worked on the artists and the venue, and he has worked on the poster and getting things organised.”
Acts include Anthony McBrien, Richie Remo, Sean Corrigan, Vincy Walmsley, John Garrity, Shaun Loughrey, The Benn Sisters, Paul Kelly, Ally and Marion, Karl Kilpatrick, Vicki Kenny and Gavin McAloon.
John continued: “If it’s done correctly, a good country night can raise a lot of money for charity. There’ll be a lot of dancing and it’ll be a good night.”
He concluded: “It’s been one of those things that when you explained the situation the Bradleys were in, everyone was up for it.”
Dancing is from 9pm until 1.30am. And tickets cost £10 online and £12 at the door.
