The Fermanagh County Executive have decided not to name those candidates nominated for the Fermanagh senior football managers job.

Nominees from clubs were due to be submitted last Friday. It was suggested by one player that there had been no nominations received from clubs by county secretary Tom Boyle by the time the deadline had arrived.

One name that came into the mix last week was former Fermanagh player Rory Gallagher following his departure from the Donegal back room team.

Peter McGinnity
The Roslea man is a former Fermanagh manager who is enjoying a return to his native Roslea at present. He has guided the Shamrocks to four of the last five county finals and if they were to beat Belcoo they would pick up their third title in four years. Massive experience McGinnity has won a Tyrone Championship with Killyclogher and would immediately earn the respect of the players.

Rory Gallagher
Few doubt the impact Gallagher had in his role as assistant manager to Jim McGuinness over the past three seasons. Highly respected by the players Gallagher was considered an excellent coach and brilliant tactician who’s forensic eye for detail on opposition teams and players went a long way to helping Donegal achieve two Ulster titles and one All Ireland

Kevin McStay
The RTE pundit was the first name floated when Peter Canavan resigned from the hot seat. The former Mayo star has proved his worth on the club scene guiding St Brigids in Roscommon to the All Ireland title in March of this year. Whether or not he could be tempted to make the trip to Fermanagh three or four nights a week remains to be seen.

Gearoid Adams
The Antrim man was part of the back room team when Lam Bradley guided the Saffrons to the Ulster final in 2009. Has managed his home club St Johns in Belfast to a county final where they were defeated by St Galls. Adams is seen as anup and coming manager who is ready to cut his teeth in the inter county game.

Dom Corrigan
The popular Corrigan managed Fermanagh for two seasons in 2002 and 2003 guiding Fermanagh to a division one league semi final and an All Ireland quarter final in his second year. A wealth of experience he has a county title with Carrickmore in Tyrone and has guided Clontibret to the Monaghan semi final, yet to be played, this season.
