Dissident republican group Oglaigh Na hEireann (ONH) have claimed that the Lough Erne Resort, the host for the 2013 G8 Summit was the intended target for the bomb discovered on the Derrylin Road at the weekend.

The 60kg bomb concealed within a beer keg was discovered by police officers on Friday morning (March 22). In addition to diversions being put in place, a number of homes had to be evacuated.

Using a codeword, ONH also stated they were responsible for a foiled mortar-type bomb attack on a police station in Belfast earlier this month.
