Ballinamallard goalkeeper faces rape charge

Ballinamallard goalkeeper Alvin Rouse

THE goalkeeper with Irish League club, Ballinamallard has appeared in court charged with rape and a number of other serious sexual offences.
Alvin Rouse (33), with an address on the Old Armagh Road in Monaghan, faces five charges of rape, sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment which are alleged to have taken place in Cookstown on April 29 last year.
Appearing at Strabane Magistrates Court, Rouse wept as he was granted bail on two cash sureties totalling £10,000. He was remanded to appear again at Dungannon Magistrates Court on April 10.
His club manager, Whitey Anderson said he would lodge money on behalf of Rouse, who is a native of Barbados.
