Oz-bound Bogue hoping for swan song victory in Croker

Some players freeze on the biggest stage of all and some players excel. Fermanagh forward, Blaíthín Bogue has already shown that she has what it takes to perform at Croke Park.

In the 2022 All-Ireland Final – the drawn game with Antrim – the Erne ace kicked seven points at GAA Headquarters including one of the sweetest points you’ll ever see scored there.

She sold a dummy Owen Mulligan would’ve been proud of before kicking one of her seven points on the day with the outside of the boot.
She laughs and brushes aside her dazzling Croke Park display that 31st July summer’s day, saying;

“If I had time to think of it, it probably wouldn’t have happened,” claiming it was “instinct”.

But it was that very display that caught the watchful eyes of the Australian Football scouts,  and next Wednesday, when the All-Ireland Final is done and dusted, Bogue will jet off to Australia as she embarks upon a career with North Melbourne Kangaroos.
