Reigning senior champions Erne Gaels will host Ederney in the first round of the Club Players’ Competition on Saturday when the Fermanagh GAA club season gets underway this weekend.
Anticipation is high in the local GAA circles as players and management will get their first real taste of the new playing rules, which will be implemented by the Fermanagh referees.
The 10 teams in Division One and Division Two will be divided into two groups. Following the completion of the group stage, they’ll all then compete in a playoff for vital league points.
