Theft and drugs accused returned for court trial

A LISNASKEA man has been returned for trial on multiple charges involving thefts and drugs possession.
Appearing for a committal hearing was Gary Hutchinson (35) from Trasna Way faces 13 charges comprising three counts of stealing from vehicles and two counts of assaulting police as well as single counts of possessing cocaine, cannabis and the prescription-only drugs Zopiclone and Pregabalin, intending to supply cannabis, resisting arrest and damaging a watch.
All matters are alleged to have occurred between September 30 and October 1 2023.
A prosecuting lawyer told Enniskillen Magistrates Court there is a case to answer which was agreed by Deputy District Judge John Wray. Hutchinson spoke only to confirm his identity and that he understood the charges. He declined to call witnesses or give evidence on his own behalf at this stage.
Judge Wray remanded him on continuing bail to appear for arraignment at Dungannon Crown Court on September 23.
