IRVINESTOWN singer Leigha Durnion has revealed an action-packed summer schedule which will see her perform in some of the biggest venues in New York.
The 25-year-old Fermanagh talent has soared through the local music ranks and since she’s moved to the United States of America to live, her music career has gone to a whole new level.
She’s set to perform at ‘The Sailhouse’ in New York, where she’ll be headlining gigs and concerts at the USA venue throughout the upcoming summer months.
Following her early education at Ulster University Jordanstown, the Fermanagh talent moved to the United States of America to pursue a career as a professional musician and singer.
After she released her first professional video – a cover of Little Big Town’s ‘Girl Crush’ – the Irvinestown singer told the Herald that she had impressive plans to enhance her music career.
“I am very proud as throughout my school life, one of the music teachers always told me that I would go nowhere with music,” said the popular singer.
“Doing a video was a little bit out of my comfort zone but I wanted to do something different.
“When it comes to being in front of the camera, I would be a bit shy but I started going to the Sound Garden in Drumquin and the owner, David [Doonan], really pushed me to do my best and try new things.”
Over Christmas, the 25-year-old singer led a major concert at ‘The Sailhouse’, which is based at 238 Green Street in Tarrytown in New York.
