Derby deal for talented Corry

Talented Ballinamallard United and Trillick GAA star Sean Corry has signed a two-year scholarship at Derby County.

The St Michael’s student was spotted playing for Northern Ireland under 15s by the Head of Recruitment at the EFL Championship club and since then the 16-year-old has been on several trials where he impressed.

This Sunday, the family will travel over with Sean as he embarks on a new and exciting journey with a dinner for all the scholars planned that night before he gets down to business on Monday.

“I can’t wait,” said Corry, “I’m very excited about it,” but admitted, “I’m a bit sad leaving as well,” as he prepares to live away from home for the first time.

Corry has been a shining star on the sports fields of Fermanagh and Tyrone for several years now.
