Ballinamallard bullet Josh Elliott has won the British Superstock 1000cc Championship with a race to spare.
An outstanding achievement for the Fermanagh rider, he sealed the victory with a second place at Silverstone over the weekend while championship rival Alastair Seeley could only manage sixth.
“It’s pretty crazy. It’s hard to believe at the minute, it’s been a good year,” said Elliott speaking to the Fermanagh Herald in the wake of the stunning championship victory.
Elliott’s win has been built on patient riding and extracting the maximum from his ZX-10R Kawasaki. Sunday’s race showed all the 21-year-old’s best qualities in spades as he took his tenth podium of the season.
