A ‘Movie in the Park’ – held in Enniskillen’s Brewster Park – is a unique facet to the annual ‘Streets Alive Festival’ which takes place later this month.
Organised by the Devenish Partnership Forum, the festival runs from Friday August 21 until Sunday August 23.
The three days encompass a range of events, but perhaps the most unique is the outdoor movie night being held on the Sunday night.
The Partnership has organised a cinematic screen and surround sound – with a family friendly film and classic cinema snacks available on the night. Even if it rains, the screening can still be held – but organisers have said to dress according to the weather.
That event is ticket only, with tickets available from the Devenish Partnership Forum and the Westville Family Resource Centre.
The movie at Brewster Park isn’t the only element of the festival, however.
Two five-a-side football tournament takes place on Friday August 21 at Donnelly’s Playing Field.
With a 3pm start, there’s an under 16 tournament and seniors starts at 7pm.

On Saturday, August 22, there’s an old crocks match from 12 noon to 1pm at Donnelly’s Field.
And, activities take place from 12 – 4pm.
There’s a kiddies carousel, archery, mini golf, swing boats, face painting, live music, Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre, balloon modelling, magic show, pot planting, arts and crafts, bungee trampoline, DJ Conel McCann, barbecue and ice-cream, wipeout sweeper, toddler play area, action songs disco, canoeing, character costumes, jets cheerleading and lucky dip.
