VIDEO: These African students singing Nathan Carter are amazing

nathan

FOR a man living in Enniskillen, Nathan Carter really does have global appeal.

The country musician, originally from Liverpool, has shared an incredible video of a group of African students performing a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Wagon Wheel’ – which had a huge resurgence in country music circles here after Nathan covered it himself.

The video was shared originally by Irish teacher Ella Ryan, who recorded the video in Uganda last month.

It is to raise awareness for ‘The Blessed Trinity’ school in Nalweyo, Uganda.

Nathan, posting on Facebook today (Saturday, June 6), said: “Honoured to have received this video of these amazing people singing Wagon Wheel! Especially when english isn’t their first language.

“Hopefully one day I’ll be lucky enough to visit and sing along with them! Would love for you to share this video and if you could make any donation at all I’m sure it would make a huge difference, I know I will be Thank you.”

In her original post, Lisa wrote: “As I write this post I’m completely overwhelmed with emotion. This video was recorded on the 19th of May 2015 with the intention of raising awareness about ‘The Blessed Trinity’ in Nalweyo, Uganda. These students need your help, could you please help their video go viral?

“All you have to do is like and share this video. I will personally be contacting Nathan Carter in hope that he will help to make our dreams come true. Maybe one day he, or you, will visit this beautiful place with such beautiful people.

“You can follow the link to ‘The Blessed Trinity’ below to make any donation, big or small, or to get involved in a mission trip. I cannot tell you enough how much your contribution could impact their lives for the better. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
From the bottom of my heart…. I thank you.”
