A NEW house music night in Enniskillen is hoping to pull in a large crowd on Saturday night.
The first edition of the night took place two weeks ago in Blakes of the Hollow’s Level Seven, with organisers describing a packed crowd in the bar that exceeded expectations.
The night features Fermanagh DJs Paul Wilson and Charlie Barrett.
Paul, 21, from Enniskillen, is looking forward to the second night.
“I have been DJing as a hobby for a year and half,” he explained.
“I have been listening to house music for four years, I am at university in Liverpool and there are plenty of big house events on regularly over there. Gareth Maguire (Blakes staff member) came to me with the idea of a hosting a house night in Enniskillen as he knew I was big into house music and into DJing so we started to plan the event. We had a lot of support and advice from Mark Edwards, manager of Blakes, which helped make the night a success.”
The culmination of that planning was a hugely successful opening night on Saturday July 26.
Paul explained: “The reaction to the first event was excellent, the atmosphere on the night was something I haven’t witnessed in Enniskillen before on a night out.”
So, organisers have arranged a second night for August 9, with doors opening at 11pm.
“People can expect to experience the best atmosphere with proper house music. House music is such a diverse genre of music it has something for everyone.”
