Easter bonnets on the catwalk

Easter Bonnet 04

GLITZY EGG.. Lauren McGinty and Pauline Ryan show off their Easter egg themed bonnets.

As the saying goes “If you want to get ahead, get a hat!”.

Now in the 8th year, the year 8, 9 and 10 pupils of St Fanchea’s College enjoyed an afternoon of modelling their Easter bonnets on the catwalk!

Milliners Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones would be proud of the chic chick whose creations were all made from recycled materials. An ‘eggstraordinary’ array of designs were on show for this Easter parade!  Fabric, paper, metal, plastic and organic materials were transformed into original creations. Spring definitely was spring as each pupil impressed a panel of judges with their fashion statements.

Mrs Britton, Mrs Connolly and Year 13 organised this fun afternoon.  They were suitably ‘eggcited’ by the very high standard of this years entries and every participant was a winner and awarded an Easter egg as a prize.  Everyone involved in the venture enjoyed a head start for Easter!
