A CHANCE to record original material in a studio is the top prize in a local ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition being held in Enniskillen at the beginning of next week.
‘Roadstock’ is being held in the Roadhouse Bar, Enniskillen, and features some of Fermanagh’s most well-known acts battling it out for the top prize.
The three-day event has been organised by Tommy O’Neill, Matthew O’Dee and Ryan Patterson.
“Enniskillen already has a great music scene; we wanted to contribute by bringing its local talent together for three days of performing together, and give one act the opportunity to record their music,” Matty explained.
Tommy added: “Each band will play their set, giving it their all as they attempt to impress the audience, and if the audience like what they hear, at the end of the each night, they vote for two of their favourite acts of the night, and two acts from each night go through to Wednesday nights final to ‘battle’ for the winning prize.”
Bands included on the bill are: Blurred Lines, If Not When, The DMS, Attack The Day – as well as brand new acts such as Golden South, HAHA Your Dead and Mile High Club.
As well as live acts, Roadstock will feature acoustic acts such as Imperfect Scribble, Aaron Wilson, Ben Forbes, Ashley Robinson, Adam Doherty, Christopher Flanagan and Tommy and Matty. The event will also see the long awaited return of Enniskillen’s Lets Go Zero.
Ryan concluded: “For any lover of music, we seriously recommend you get yourself down to the Roadhouse Bar Enniskillen on Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 April.”
