This is now the fourth year for the event which involves local people from the community to come together to learn to dance and raise funds for Westville Family Resource Centre.
The event is much more than a fundraiser bringing together people from all sections of the community to provide 2 nights great entertainment.
The centre provides services to parents and children from all sections of the community and likes to involve this mix in the dance event bringing 20 dancers together who train to dance the Slow Tango, Jive and a group dance, these dancers are encouraged to raise votes within the community which helps towards choosing the winner.
Dance tuition is by Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre.
This years shows are on Thursday, November 7 with the final on Thursday November 22. Tickets for the event are only available through the dancers.
Doreen and her planning team will be sourcing other forms of sponsorship to support the event which in previous years has raised up to £30,000.
“I have no set target when I plan the event, the organisation needs to raise funding each year to support the services we deliver to around 300 families each month. The community have always been extremely generous and the event is now seen as one which is entertaining and a really good show.”
