FERMANAGH band ‘Tully’ will make their much-anticipated headline gig debut at the Balor Theatre in Ballybofey next weekend as their career continues to go from strength to strength.
The Knocks group is set to take another step in their career when they take centre stage at the venue on Saturday, April 26, weeks after they collaborated with Daniel O’Donnell on a TG4 show.
‘Tully’ have been on the local music scene for a long time but they’ve soared to newfound fame in recent months following their collaboration with Fermanagh Country music star Nathan Carter.
Having recognised their strong singing talents, Carter asked ‘Tully’ to collaborate with him on ‘Listen to the Radio’, which went down a treat with their respective fan bases and audiences.
‘Tully’ has since built on their momentum by releasing further tracks ‘Dying Day’, ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and ‘The King’s Shilling’, with all tracks being well received by their huge and growing following.
Liverpudlian Carter is full of praise for the talented Fermanagh band.
“I was aware of Tully for a number of years, and we did a charity gig at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum for Willowbridge School, and I booked Tully to sing at it,” he told the ‘Herald.
“I couldn’t get over how talented they are, and their voices and harmonies were brilliant. They need to be heard by a lot more people.
“They have been going for years-and-years, but life stepped in with them, having kids and getting married, but they’re now at the stage where they want to get going again.”
‘Tully’ has also revealed that they’ll be performing at the ‘All-Star Country Concert’ which will take place at the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran on Sunday, July 13.
They’ll be joined on the night by Fermanagh Country music star Lisa McHugh. Other performers confirmed include Robert Mizzell, Brendan Quinn, Hugo Duncan and Dominic Kirwin.
